Trick or Treating

We don't exactly celebrate Halloween around here but we did do a little Trick or Treating with the kids this year.  We stopped by a couple of church members' homes and a dozen or so homes in between.  We kept it short (it was chilly for one thing!) and went about bedtime and everything else as usual.

You should be so lucky to be one of my children.  I'm telling you, they just have it all.  (Are we sensing the sarcasm yet?)  When we came home it was getting close to bedtime but wouldn't you know Cinderella herself came to me and told me she was hungry and that she wanted some candy.  Being the lucky child she is, I told her "sorry, no candy, but you can have a banana!".  Then Mr. Mouse needed one too.

I thought it was hilarious so please don't ruin it for me and tell my children that while they were eating bananas, most of the other kids in this country were pigging out on candy!  Ha!
