The 2013-2014 school year was definitely different for us because we sent off 2 (well, one just twice a week) but we successfully completed an entire school year in one location, which was nice. :) Abby sailed through first grade and we just adored her teacher! I really hope we "just happen" to have that teacher again in two years for Caleb. It was a good school year for Caleb in Mother's Day Out and he is also a very quick study and we had some personal growths with him as well. Woo Hoo! It was sad to not be in class with their best friends, Garrett and Avery who still live in Arkansas, but Abby made friends with some very sweet little girls in her class and Caleb got to know a few kids who are entering kindergarten at our school in the fall as well. Emily tagged around with me all day every day, poor kid. Ha!
First day of first grade! Sporting 2 missing teeth on the bottom that would very quickly be replaced with those adult chompers. And we outgrew our shoes halfway during the year. Yikes.
First day of Mother's Day Out (part-time preschool)! Enjoyed playing and meeting new friends, especially in his boy-filled class, but hated to have to get quiet and still for rest time. Also outgrew our shoes during the year...twice! Double yikes.
A rare moment of Emily contentedly playing by herself while Mommy got a bite of breakfast. Almost every day she looked forward to "go Babby's school" to pick up Abby and when we went to Caleb's preschool she always announced "uh huh, yeah, yeah, me, me!" over and over. :) Someone's in a hurry to grow up, just as long as her bottle and pacifier aren't far away!
We're enjoying our summer and anticipating the 2014-2015 school year. Exciting (and so very busy) times!!!
