3 months old

To everyone who ever told me "Time just goes by faster the older you get" - you were so right! I think there should also be this warning given to every parent: "Time goes by faster with each consecutive kid you have." Pooh. I can't believe Caleb is already 3 months old! when I think about his birth it kind of feels like it was so much longer ago than just 3 months because I feel like I've known the little cutie forever. I guess it really has been a year since he is 3 months old plus 9 months of incubation. Wow! Don't even get me started on how that makes me feel about Abby, who is officially 2 1/2 now.

I weighed Caleb on 9/30, his 3-month birthday and he weighed 13 lbs 13 oz - a little more than half of what his big sister currently weighs. They both eat like each meal might be their last, it's just that Abby literally runs it off during the day. For example, today before lunch she found it necessary to run in a circle in the middle of the living room. And she was so proud of herself too. Probably half of the thoughts that go through my head each day are "what will that child think of next?" I'm so thankful for her and all of her sillyness!

Abby is quite the mini domestic goddess. She loves to pretend to "bacuum" and sweep with her hand-held broom and dustpan (and she's actually very good at it - bonus for Mommy!), and let's not leave out the baking! She loves, loves, loves to help me cook and bake and it is too cute to see her excitement over whatever we make. Sunday night we baked 12 blueberry muffins. There was only one left at breakfast this morning. They were a hit! Thank you, Betty Crocker, for putting together a cookbook. Abby wanted to share her muffins with Caleb but I had to tell her, sorry he doesn't have any teeth, although you can see several on his lower gum. Today she tried to give him cheese. Um, thanks but no thanks Abby! :)

Some days I wonder how I got from meeting Chuck (9 years ago) to having 2 kids and I think about all that has happened in that time. I'm thankful for what the Lord has given me.
