Filling shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child for the first time. Much fun was had.
Caleb in the Johnny Jump-Up for the first time. He LOVES it! You can see the supervisor...
Not really a first, but some cute daddy-daughter time last night. We made s'mores after supper.
October was a crazy-busy month around here. My calendar was full! But, it was a good busy and I'm glad to stay busy, otherwise I'm prone to begin moping about being so far away from family. Poor Kaki is the furthest, though, and I'm thankful we're not THAT far away.
My parents got to come for a visit and we were able to take the kids to see their Great-Grandparents. It was the first time they met Caleb and I'm glad we got to do it.
Also, our church had a revival and harvest festival. We've had a new family attending regularly and we're thankful for that. A nearby church has a clown ministry (a great idea!) and the clowns came for the children who came to the revival. Abby had fun with them the first day and the announced the next day she was scared of clowns. Goofy!
Caleb had his 4-month check-up and made the dr. laugh with his weight-to-length ratio. 15lbs 6oz and 23 1/2 inches long. I love his fat little body! And lest you think 15 pounds isn't all that much - the loosest-fitting of socks leave indentions on his legs. Cutie!
Now it is November and another first is coming - Thanksgiving as our little family of 4. We're planning to spend it here and make some first-time memories. It will be different, but we'll make it fun!
