Christmas Crib Sheet

Right now I've got several sewing projects going all at the same time and since my darling little boy FINALLY decided to nap like a normal child I'm making progress on getting those completed. Two of my projects are secrets (Christmas is NOT the time to be asking questions!), one is Caleb's stocking (90% finished), and another is a crib sheet that I finished last week.

I have a love for making my own crib sheets, partly because it is fun and rewarding, and partly because they are so much cheaper than store-bought! Of course! Anyway, my little boy blue is still so small this winter and definitely has a preference for soft, warm fabrics so I broke out the flannel baseball crib sheet I made many moons ago while still pregnant with him. He loves it! However, he also loves to spit up. The solution was simple - make another sheet!

While browsing the "seasonal" fabrics at Hobby Lobby about 2 weeks ago I was delighted to see that they were 50% off. Now we're talking! Then, I was thrilled to find cute Christmas flannel with which to make the second crib sheet. Yessssssssssss! I love this material and also love that my little boy is sleeping all snugly warm on flannel like the rest of us. Anyway, after about an hour, tops, of working on the sheet I was done and it was on his mattress. My kind of project, quick and easy! Here it is:
