No, this is not some kind of joke relating to my husband's name. Just wanted to clarify. :)
Last Sunday afternoon Abby experienced Chuck E. Cheese for the first time. I'm not sure what to say about it. The kids from the Sunday evening program at church were rewarded with a trip to Chuck E. Cheese (that is really annoying to type out repeatedly) and I went with to help out. Abby had fun and fell asleep on the drive home.
It was cute to see her playing the games and trying to play others that were too big for her. I think her favorite game was one where you popped bubbles on a screen by touching them. Somehow she even knew to touch the "different" bubbles that would do something special - without me prompting her. The screen was too high for her so I had to squat and let her stand on my leg to play. It was time to move on when my feet fell asleep. :) I asked Abby what her favorite game was and she mentioned a different game that she barely played and didn't seem to care about. Whatever. It was fun to watch her decide what to do and try a game that looked interesting, even if it was clearly too big for her!
I'm trying to block out the craziness of the place and the level of insanity that was going on. Then there was the toddler who walked up to me and decided it was okay to hit. You messed with the wrong Mommy, kid! Yes, I will discipline your child if they are doing something that directly affects me, like hitting me or my child.
Here's a picture from the day (with Flat Stanley - he's visiting for a few weeks!).
