Last week we got to visit my family for a week and it was so much fun! Abby was such a trooper on the long drives each way (thank you portable DVD player!) and it gives me hope for a solo parent trip at some point after Mr. Baby comes. While we were there my sweet family gave us a surprise baby shower! My mom made a quilt for the baby, using the same fabric I picked out to re-cover the bouncy seat (no, we didn't plan to use the same fabric!), Aunt Kim made a cute terry bath towel/robe, and Aunt Katherine gave a cute onesie/overall outfit! We played a game and had goodies to eat also. It was so much fun and thoughtful!
We did lots of fun things while visiting like going to the Houston Zoo, riding the carousel at the mall, seeing the animals at the pet store in the mall, trying to enjoy the play fountains (didn't go so well this year), playing at the park, and enjoying family time.
In other news, Baby G is growing and a very active boy! I go back to the dr. in 2 weeks and then every week until he comes. The dr. said after the next visit he's ready when I am "to do this." Uh, I'm pretty much ready now. Since this is the second rodeo I'm not really nervous or unsure of anything, given that everything goes normally, so come on Mr. Cutie!
