At my dr. visit a couple of weeks ago, the dr. went back to the June 28th due date for our little boy. Today I had another of the weekly visits and it revealed I'm pretty much where I was last week, as far as making progress towards delivering this baby. I was a little disappointed but thankful that some progress has been made. My main concern is that I avoid a c-section and I was assured today that there seems to be no reason to need one. The dr. said he is willing to induce as early as Monday but my goal is to wait on natural timing. I realize that at some point this will not be a good idea, but there's no need to rush this, however hot and uncomfortable I may be. :) Maybe Abby's little brother will be like her and only come 3 days late! Please? I can hardly believe that we really are this close to meeting our son. Seems like just a couple of weeks ago the countdown was in the 50s. I'm glad we are this close, I am very ready! Did I mention we got up to 100 today? Oh yes, and that temperature was taken in the shade. Praise God for creating trees that provide shade, wind that cools the heat, and water in which to splash and cool down (even if in a kiddie pool)! What's that other thing I'm forgetting? Oh yeah, AIR CONDITIONING!
I guess we'll see what next Thursday holds. Hopefully a little more than today!
