We had a nice weekend remembering Christ's death and resurrection and the gift of everlasting life we have because of Him. On Friday I was telling Abby that we were remembering that Jesus died for the bad things we do but that Sunday we would celebrate how He was alive again. She got all excited and said, "He's coming to my house?!?!" I smiled and told her no, but that she could live with Him in heaven some day if she wanted to. "OKAY! And God?" Yes, baby, and God. :)
The top 2 pictures are of Abby hunting eggs in our backyard on Saturday. They were empty and she didn't care. She just had fun walking around picking them all up. We don't do the Easter bunny though. I just thought it was too fun to get each of the kids a few little treats and let Abby play a game of finding all the eggs hidden so cleverly right on top of the grass.
That reminds me - why do kids hunt eggs and celebrate an Easter bunny? Rabbits most certainly do not lay eggs. Just something I was thinking about earlier.
Anyway, the other 2 pictures are from today. The church did an egg hunt during Sunday School which turned out to be so good because we had twice as many kids as we usually do! Chuck went through the Resurrection Eggs with the kids and then we let them hunt. It was cute to watch them and see the kindness they showed to each other. Looks like my picture of the kids together didn't quite show the total cuteness of them matching. Oh well, you know they're cute anyway!
