Silly Abby

This morning I've had some random and silly conversations with Abby that I thought needed to be shared.  (Meanwhile, Caleb is busy napping.)

Abby:  Mommy, my legs need a break from sitting.
Me:  Okay.
Abby:  (runs off) Yeah, they're tired.
I peek around the corner and find her sitting on the floor.

Abby:  Mommy, can you get me some ice cream?
Me:  Nope.
Abby:  Why?  (the ever-present question these days)
Me:  Because it's 9:45 in the morning.
Abby:  Hmm.  Okay.
As luck would have it I just now realized I ate the last of the ice cream last night.  We tried a new local flavor called Woo Pig Chewy - "brownie ice cream, brownie swirls, and brownie bits".  I still don't understand how it was brownie ice cream or what brownies have to do with the Hogs, but it was darn good ice cream!

And now she's hugging me and saying "Because you're my best friend.".  This has been going on for a number of days and over the weekend I finally figured out why she's been saying it.  It is because she watched a Thomas the Train movie from the library and Thomas says it to his best friend, Percy.  Can you say SPONGE?!?!
