Last Friday we packed up and headed to the Little Rock area for most of the day. It's hard for me to break routine for the kids like this (they don't sleep much in the car), but because of where we live, if we ever want to do anything like go to the zoo that is going to have to happen.
The pictures are out of order, but that's okay. Our first stop was the Little Rock Zoo. We've been once before and it's a nice little zoo. It's just big enough to have a little of most everything but still small enough for us to be able to see everything before anyone starts melting down. Abby and I took a ride on their train (pretty unimpressive but we had free tokens). It was cute to see both kids very interested in the animals.
We found a Jason's Deli a couple of minutes away and happily ate lunch there. The last time we ate at one we only had 3 members in our family and Abby wasn't yet 1.
After lunch Caleb caught a cat-nap on the way to Conway for Jump!Zone. This particular location had 7 bounce houses inside and we virtually had the place to ourselves. I found this by searching the internet one time for bounce house places, thinking it would be a good activity for the middle of summer or winter. Too bad this is the closest one, but we still had fun. They even let Chuck and me play on the inflatables and we only had to pay for Abby to get in!
We made it home in time for dinner and then tossed the kids in the tub and to bed a little early since naps were thrown off. It was a fun day for everyone and now we're looking forward to our next trip. The kids and I are headed to TX for a week while Chuck gears up for the church's Sportsmen's Lunch on the 11th. Be praying that a lot of lost people would attend to hear and accpet the Good News.
