Return of the Bouncy Seat
In planning for Baby G's arrival, I have been taking inventory of things I can reuse from Abby's infancy. Of course, we picked out and received gender neutral bedding, stroller, car seats, pack n play, and swing. However, someone gave us a pink bouncy seat, after having asked where we were registered and seeing the one we wanted. Why even ask then? I should have just taken the stupid thing back to the store but I didn't. It was also a gift from a person who was very ugly to us and instrumental in Chuck needing to resign from his first church - do you see why I don't care much for the darn bouncy seat? Anyway, I wanted to sell it and get a new one this time around and Chuck said he'd prefer to burn it (I'm not kidding) and get a new one but I decided to try to make it over and see where that got us, besides saving a lot of money! So, while I still don't like the story behind the bouncy seat, I'm grateful to have spent less than $5 to make it more appropriate for a boy and now gender neutral like I wanted to begin with. Abby is enjoying sitting in it again and frequently points to it and says "for baby buhder." She's so cute and it seems like she's beginning to understand a little that it and other baby things reappearing are for someone else. I can't wait to see what she does when she finally gets to meet him!
